The weather is finally getting to be warmer, and the sun is shinning. I just thought I would post some random thoughts.
Life is getting easier, with a little more time available then there has been in the last year or so. My son is almost a year old, and he is starting to talk. He doesn’t want to, or is too lazy to walk, but we feel that he is ready and is strong enough to walk. He is learning more every day.
My wife is selling pampered chef and she is also an independent scentsy consultant. She is doing great at it. She has been working her butt off to take care of the house and still sell all these products, and still take care of the kids. That is too many full time jobs.
I have been diving back into photography latley because we finally have a nice Digital SLR. I am learning quite a bit and am having fun with it. I think I might try and enter the fair photo contest this year depending on what the theme is. I am looking for some accessories for the camera to futher expand my knowledge.
I haven’t been playing with iPhone programming latley because I still don’t have enough time to sit down and study it. I still would like to attempt it one day.
The new ipad looks interesting, but I don’t see it fitting my life. It would be better if the made it a little more like a laptop and less like an iPhone. A webcam would be nice and less restrictions. Allow people to customize more then what is possible on the iPhone. Also, while I am talking about apple and their products, where is the next iPhone os? It has been too long since they have released anything. Every os revision forthe iPhone is making a better phone, but there are still some outstanding issues that need to be dealt with. The ability to customize the phone would be nice. To change the background of the home screen, not just the lock screen. To have more control over the sounds, to be able to change the message sound and other various sounds to anything that you can assign a ring tone to. Speaking of which, why should I have to buy a song and then buy the ability to make it my ringtone. The iPhone should have the capability to make ANY song in it’s library a ringtone. We also should have the ability to save files from the Internet and the granger them to our computer, not just photos. We should also be able to save files to the phone so if we need to, we can send them through email. This Phone is so powerful, but yet it can’t do some the most basic features that windows mobile has been doing for years.

It’s Friday again. Been another busy week. Last couple of days, I have been working with photoshop and designing pictures for a couple of websites I am working on. I have been learning alot latley About how to do things with Photoshop. Some of them almost look pro!!! So I will be doing some more later tonight. I might actually let this one go live if I can figure out a few minor issues.
Don’t have any plans for this weekend yet, so I might be able to fish the 2 site I am working on. Then I will be able to get back to the iPhone programming class I am doing. There are alot of great resources to help this. I will have to start putting some more on here to help others. Not sure if anybody actually reads this, but what the heck, I might refer back here one day to see where I learned certain things from.
Until next time…
Well, it’s the weekend. I am in my friends new Jett tdi going for a drive. Pretty nice not having to drive for once. I might have my fish tank sold, which mean I can probably rplace my sunglasses and might have enough left over to get the new snow leopard for my MacBook. That would be nice to play with. A lot of new features in it, plus it should take full advantage of the 64bit processor. I am still trying to find time to learn to program for the iPhone. I have some really good ideas and I even have a website for one of them. I have gone through a couple of the class lectures from stanford but it is much harder now so I need to be activly on the laptop trying things out when I go through the next lecture.
The baby is 4 and a half months old so it should start to get a little bit easier to find time. I hope it does so I can try and get something on the app store and bring some money in to our house.
We need it.
Untill next time.

For our first anniversary, we went for a drive and ended up going to the jelly belly factory in Fairfield, Ca. Nancy has been there before, but I haven’t. She wanted to go again anyways. We took the free tour and that was pretty cool. It is amazing how they make those wonderful flavors. Christopher seemed to enjoy himself too. He is only 4 months old, but he did like looking around at the pretty colors.
After we left there, I took the long way home, Of course. When I finally decieded to go the direction of home, we ate at Texas Roadhouse(my favorite). I still didn’t want to go home so I found I really good price on a room and we went swimming. Christopher was having a blast swimming. It looked like he was really swimming.
The next morning we went to church directly and the I took Nancy to her favorite Restraunt, the olive garden.
The weekend was perfect and we both got to do things we wanted.
Until next time

Well, this weekend is my 1st anniversary and I am just not sure what to do to make it special. Will very limited money and a few other things, it makes it real difficult to plan anything ahead of time. I am beating my head against the wall trying to think of something that is feasible. From trying to get out to the ocean, or going to yosemite…. There isn’t much to do in this area.
Whatever I do, I will make it a special weekend for her.
Until next time.

The baby has made my busy life even busier. He is almostb4 months old now and can rollover on his back. Once he gets to his back, he takes off… He likes to crawl backwards on his back.
He is also eating baby food already and doing very well at it.
Life is different with him around, and there is just not enough time in the day.
I hope to update this a little more often. And it should be easier now that I found An easier way and can do it from my iPhone.
Untill next time. (hopefully soon)

Ok, a lot of things have really changed since the last entry…
My son (Christopher Joseph) was born on April 21, 2009 weighing in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. I took a few weeks off of work to help my wife around the house since she was unable to care for herself because of the c-section. Everybody is healthy and doing very well.
I have gone back to work, No fun there. I have saved enough money and find a nice Macbook off of Craigslist. So i have a real Laptop to learn the iphone Programming on. I have also redesigned this entire website on it. This is somewhat a pain for updates, but it looks way better then before. I am learning quite a bit on this thing.
Until next time

I am expecting the birth on my son any day now.
My step daughter and son are enrolled in sports, so that has taken quite a bit of time this past week two.
Also… as far as my project goes, I have found out that Stanford University is doing an IPhone programming course. They only allowed like 60 people in to it. The cool thing is that they are posting all of the course materials online at:
http://www.stanford.edu/class/cs193p/cgi-bin/index.php
and the lectures are all going on Itunes a couple of days after they happen. I have been studying this in what little free time i have and it if working pretty good so far.
I am looking in to change this blog, because it is too hard to use on my iphone. Once i have a descent IPhone interface, then i should be able to update this a little more often. I donk think anybody reads it yet, but just in case.
Untill next time.
I guess before I get to far i should say a little about my background.
I am 27 years old and computers in general have been a major hobbie of min since I was about 12. I have been working professionally to help people with them for 11 years. I currently work for a group of car dealerships in the IT dept. I am MCSE Certified and have the knowledge and experience to get a bunch more certs, but i just havent done it yet. I am hapily married to my beautiful wife Nancy, we are expecting a new baby boy any day now. We also have 2 other kids (Hers from a previous Marriage) and 2 dogs.
This Bloging is really new to me so it will be interesting how it goes. If there is anything you would like to know from me, Just ask, and depending on what it is, I might answer.

I really like wolves, so you will see them floating around the site quite often.
So far… I have no Apple computer at my house at all. I never liked them and I thought they were way too over priced. Unfortunatly the only way to develop applications for the iphone is to be running on Mac OS X 10.5.3 or above.
Now, Since i am not made of money and i am usually close to broke (being newly married and expecting a baby boy anyday now). I can not just go out and Buy a mac on a whim to try and do this project. I do, however, have a very nice Quad core amd computer with 4 gigs of ram, and a Kickass video card with a gig of memory. (I am a gamer!!!) So i got to thinking… If apple can run Windows these days with their bootcamp, Then i should be able to find a way for Mac OS X to run on a PC.
I did a little research and found that people have been working on it and have successfully done this. It is called osx86. There are many different projects doing this. I have attempted to get these installed with miserable results. My hardware is way too new for this. Back to the drawing board.
Ok, now… Since that didnt work, I had another idea. VMWare! This should work. I still had to use osx86 for the install and found some wonderful instructions for this at:
http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Installation_Guides#VMware_Install_Guides
With this, I was able to successfully run Mac OS X on my computer. Since my computer had so much memory and was really fast, I didnt notice the lag being too bad. I had to make some changes to the resolution so I could see it in 1280×1024(Much better then the original 1024×768).
I still have no sound, but i did find instructions the should help me with that. I have been more focused on other things then mess with the sound.
Since i now have a working OS to program for the IPhone. I can now download the Apple Iphone SDK. To do this I have to sign in to the developer site:
http://developer.apple.com/iphone/program/
Now since this is a project of mine, I am not going to pay the 99 to enroll in the Developer program, but they will still let me download the SDK to practice on. I have now downloaded and installed the SDK and my system is fully ready for me to learn to program for the IPhone on.
More to come soon…
